Petite & Mini Goldendoodles
Petite and mini Goldendoodles (roughly 15–35 lb) are the most popular size for families in apartments, condos, and smaller homes. They're easy to travel with, still sturdy enough for kids, and every bit as friendly as their bigger cousins.
Medium Goldendoodles
Medium Goldendoodles (about 35–50 lb) are the middle ground — big enough to be a real outdoorsy companion, small enough to manage easily. For a lot of families, this is the sweet spot.
Standard Goldendoodles
Standard Goldendoodles (about 50–90 lb) are true big family dogs. They love room to run and an active household, and they bring all the classic Goldendoodle warmth in a larger package.
When is a Goldendoodle full grown?
Smaller Goldendoodles finish growing sooner. Petite and mini Goldendoodles usually reach their adult size around 11–13 months, mediums around 12–14 months, and standards can keep filling out until 18–24 months. They reach most of their height first, then fill out in weight.
How to predict adult weight
The most reliable predictor is the size of the parents — a litter's adult size rarely falls outside the range of its mom and dad. As a rough guide, you can also estimate: a puppy's weight at about 4 months is often close to half its adult weight for minis and mediums. We'll always tell you the expected adult size of a litter up front.
Which size is right for you?
