A mini Goldendoodle is a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Miniature Poodle (rather than a Standard Poodle). That smaller Poodle parent keeps the adult size down while keeping all the classic Goldendoodle traits — friendly, smart, and non-shedding.
How big do mini Goldendoodles get?
Most mini Goldendoodles mature around 25–35 lb and stand roughly 16–19 inches at the shoulder. Petite versions (with a Toy Poodle) can finish even smaller, around 15–25 lb. They reach their adult size around 11–13 months.

Personality-wise, minis are pure Goldendoodle: gentle, affectionate, eager to please, and wonderful with kids. They're social little dogs that want to be part of the family, and their intelligence makes them a joy to train.

That soft, low-shedding coat needs regular attention: brush several times a week and plan on a professional groom every 6–8 weeks. Keep up with ear cleaning, nail trims, and teeth brushing, and your mini will look and feel its best.

The temperament is the same — the difference is size and energy. Minis (25–35 lb) suit smaller spaces and need a bit less exercise; standards (50–90 lb) want more room and activity. If you love the breed but want a more portable dog, the mini is the answer.
